European Language and Diversity Day 2025
On Wednesday 24th September, Woden celebrated the wonderful diversity of pupils with each year group learning about a European country. In addition, members of our Translation Team visited KS1 where they spoke about the culture from their home countries and taught some phrases in their native language.
KS2 started off seeing the Northern Light of Norway, then tasted Italian pizza, saw the famous landmarks of Portugal and ended up saying veraschiedung in Germany. Meanwhile in EYFS and KS1, their journey began in Spain, travelled to the mysterious of Romania and ended with Poland.
It was a fantastic day with brilliant learning of these different cultures and languages.
