School Day

Please find below the typical school day for pupils here at Woden Primary School. School doors open at 8.40am for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Reception to Year 6 – 32.5 hours per week; Nursery 15 hours per week (3 hour sessions either AM or PM).

Nursery

The morning session for Woden’s nursery students runs from 8.40am to 11.40am. The afternoon session starts at 12.25pm and runs until 3.25pm.

Assembly

9.00am – 9.15am – We have an assembly every morning by a different member of staff with a special merit assembly on a Friday.

Lessons

9:15am – 12pm / 12.15pm – 3 lessons, including English and Maths with a 15 minute break.

Lunch

EYFS & KS1 – 12pm – 12.45pm

KS2 – 12.15-1pm

Lessons

1pm – 3.10pm – We return from lunch for a further 2 lessons.

Home time

3.10pm (Reception, Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2)

3:25pm – Nursery

*All children are released at the end of the day only to adults known to staff – should your arrangements change for any reason, please inform the office.

*If your child is in Years 5 and 6 and you would like them to walk home alone, please complete a permission letter which can be collected from the office.

*Any child not collected by 3.20pm may be allocated a place in our After-School Club – there is a charge of £3.50 for this service.
