Eco Councillors return to Lime Trees Care Home
On the 13th December, last years’ Eco Councillors (and children picked by Mr. Mills from Class 10) headed back to Lime Trees Care home in Shrewsbury. We met the residents we spoke to last time and handed them Christmas gifts to spread some Woden joy. They showed us around their fabulously decorated rooms and some of their vintage Christmas decorations.
We were then treated to watch The Grinch in their luxury cinema room where we were also treated to popcorn and sweets. Feeling super festive, we then got to play Snowball the Elf whilst some of the residents watched! With 3 snowballs each, we had to hit the elves with the most points – hitting an actual elf out of a cup was 15 points! The three highest scorers won a pack of Christmas chocolate. In addition, all the children got to take aim with their snowballs at Mr. Smyth.
It was lovely seeing the residents again and we will be back soon to check in. Thank you to Lime Trees Care Home for such a wonderful day.
